The book contains 4,800 abstracts found in seven deed books, Books 24-28, Books 1 and 2, second series, and far enough in Book 3 to include deeds registered in 1850. These deeds in their original form cover 3,720 pages and represent land transaction and other documents that were presented for registration to the county court from its August 1830 session through the October 1850 session. Not all of the instruments recorded in these books are deeds for such documents as land grants, powers of attorney, mortgages, trust deeds, marriage contracts, and bills of sale werre also included.
