Author: Geoffrey Corfield Drawings By Inkblot A humorous look at The American Revolutionary War. Or most of it anyway. The really important bits. There were a lot of skirmishes, raids and manoeuvres that haven’t been mentioned here. But some have. You can’t mention everything. Every tied shoelace. Otherwise it just goes on and on. It was a long enough war to begin with. And you have to leave room for drawings. “Never in the field of American Revolutionary War books has so little been written about so much with so many drawings.”
The author, Geoffrey Corfield, does not live in The United States of America. Nor does he live in Great Britain (but he used to). He lives 100 miles northeast of Detroit, Michigan; 85 miles northwest of Erie, Pennsylvania; and 120 miles west of Buffalo, New York. His hobbies include cricket, and collecting small soaps and James Thurbers. He used to play with toy soldiers and built model forts. This is his fifth book. You wouldn’t be interested in any of the others.
Great gift or read for the Revolutionary War enthusiast. Geoffrey’s style of writing is light and refreshing as well as informative as witnessed in his description above.
