The 245 volumes (about 24,500 pages) of ALABAMA RECORDS compiled by Pauline Jones Gandrud represent a lifetime of genealogical research by this well known and respected genealogist. In general, the volumes are arranged by counties and in some respects are similar to a periodical. Many contain an assortment of miscellaneous information, with some material being continued from one volume to another. Virtually all records presented are from the 1800's. The records may or may not be comprehensive. Contents stated above are based on the table of contents of this volume.
